The Canadian Sheep Federation is excited to extend an invitation to three next generation sheep producers for an exclusive event from August 3-9, 2024. This event, a unique convergence of the Global Sheep Producer Forum (GSPF) and LambEx, will be held in Australia. It presents a rare and invaluable opportunity for you to engage with international leaders in sheep production, gain critical insights, and actively contribute to the advancement of our industry.

Event Overview:

  • Innovative Farm Visits: Explore cutting-edge sheep farms focused on genetics, sustainability, and traceability.

  • Exclusive Access: Visit Albany, Adelaide's oldest merino station, for a rare on-farm experience.

  • LambEx Involvement: Engage with Australian industry leaders, attend the Sheep Sustainability Framework Annual Report launch, and network at the LambEx Trade Show.

 

Selection Criteria & Application Process:

  • Eligibility: Aged 18-35 with a valid passport and meeting Australia's travel requirements. Involvement in Canada's sheep industry is a must. Visit the Australian Government website

  • Membership: Current or pending membership in the Next-Generation Canadian Lamb Producers.

  • Commitment to Innovation: Demonstrate a passion for innovating and expanding in the sheep industry.

  • Learning and Sharing: Share your learnings post-event through presentations to Canadian organizations.

  • Fundraising Initiative: Actively participate in trip fundraising.

  • Ambassadorial Potential: Candidates must convincingly demonstrate why they are the best Canadian ambassadors for this event.

  • Written Application: Detail your involvement, innovative contributions, and ambassadorial qualities in the sheep industry.

  • Video Submission: A persuasive video complementing your written application, showcasing your communication skills and passion for the industry.
